We ate at Cafe Lilly in Decatur last night. Our Realtor took us there for a penultimate meal in the city.
I’m happy to report my eye pressure remains at an acceptably low level when I had it tested on Monday at the Ophthamologist.
We finally closed on the house this morning. It’s been an exhausting few weeks getting everything cleaned out and shipped to Seattle. Tomorrow we start our cross country drive to a Pacific North West.
And so we have finished the first season of The Sandman and I think we are both looking forward to seeing where this show is headed. I just read that Season 2 filming has been completed.
The Sandman continues to be enthralling and somewhat intellectually challenging. We got through the notorious episode 5 safely and are now well into the second half of the season.
The last couple of days is one of packing and more packing since we are down to the last two weeks of owning this house. In another month we’ll be transplanted to Seattle
Impossible to open packaging. Truly anti human!

Onto Episode 3 off “The Sandman”.
Sometimes it would be useful to own an SUV. Our Prius just carry certain objects at I found out today.
Wow. The Music Midtown festival in Atlanta has been canceled this year because the organizers aren’t allowed to prohibit guns. The law of unintended consequences is in operation here. Of course, this is going to be a problem for all music festivals in the city that are held on public land.
I’m here at the Gwinnett County Kaiser Permanente lower level parking lot (out of direct sun of course) where I’m waiting for my wife to complete her ophthamologist appointment.
Bill Nye is still fighting the good fight for science literacy.
Quote: “I quit my day job to engage young people in the hope that we could have a better future through science literacy. I’m still fighting that fight.”
Wwe are beginning to make a habit of calling in at The Wheelhouse in N Decatur. We had lunch here yesterday and today we headed over to the restaurant to share a beer and good conversation with some old band friends.
So where is a safe and secure place to live? It’s getting hard to choose.
I’ve just installed the latest version of MarsEdit. This has some Micro.blog specific additional features added. So far it looks good.
Some baby boomers are doing something about Climate Change.
Always happy to read articles by Alex Steffan. #globalwarming
Check out theHEAT map site as described in the Fallows article. It’s a good example of taxpayers' money being used for essential purposes and definitely not going to waste/
James Fallows is a great writer and I always enjoy reading is articles. I’m happy to see that he attended the ESRI conference this year and describes the importance of mapping and once again as he’s done many times before.
Just started using the Calibration controls in Lightroom Classic with excellent results.
I’ve become aware of a new social app called Tribel. I downloaded the iPhone app and I suppose I’ll check it out.
I just downloaded the latest version of micro.blog for the mac. The first thing I noticed was not being able to resize the main window. Maybe that’s by design. I can resize this editor window, however.
My daughter lives in Seattle, where they are entering a few days of warmer weather. At least it’s some 15 degrees or so cooler than last year’s heat wave and people can cool off at night by opening windows. Last year smoke from the wildfires definitely discouraged the open window option.
I shouldn’t forget that MarsEdit is always available here on the iMac to write and edit micro.blog entries. And it’s such a comfortable environment to produce content in.
I’ve been spending some significant time processing certain photos in Lightroom and DxO Photo and then posting to my Flickr account. I guess I’ve linked to some of them from this site.
