A friend got stuck on a back road in N Georgia Mountains yesterday. He was using Waze which led him up an old forestry road full of rocks and deep muddy puddles. Both Apple and Google Maps avoided the route suggested by WAZE.
A Woman of No Importance is definitely worth a read and I was happy to see that Netflix is showing a movie that follows the wartime exploits of Virginia Hall and two other women. It’s worth a viewing but I definitely recommend the book about Hall which describes an even more exciting life for this woman that was depicted in the movie. Really this is a life that is designed for a TV series on PBS or whatever!
It’s a busy July 4th weekend for us as we get our house ready for real estate photographer.
Passed my annual dermatology checkup this morning. Now on to the general physical next week. I’m older enough now that part of the physical is a check on mental acuity involving memorization and drawing of a clock face with a specific time added.

Listening to a segment on the “Skeptics Guide to the Universe” podcast on health problems associated with sitting for two many hours a day while sitting in a car for a long 5 hour drive. Not a good piece to listen to.

We are watching the final episode of Season 1 of “The Umbrella Academy”.
I feeling a little better today than yesterday thanks to getting a little more sleep. We had a celebration of my sister-in-law’s life here in Twin Mountain and the event was a success. It could have been about 10 degrees cooler, I suppose, but at least we didn’t have to contend with rain or wind.
