I have the Prius a much needed wash today at a Touchless car wash. We actually only have one of these (I think) inside the Atlanta perimeter.

#

We had 8 people view the house today and apparently we also have an offer being developed. Exciting times.

#

Lots of rain and lightning out there.

#

I can always tell something’s heading our way when the room begins to darken and of course, the distant rumbling of thunder gives a hint of rain and lightning to come.

#

Got some weather about to hit our part of town - thunderstorm - so I may have to unplug the computer.

We are getting close to the end of Season 2 of “The Umbrella Academy”. Actually there’s only 1 more episode to go.

#

We need to be out of the house for a showing and so what better excuse for a beer.

Not a busy railway line, but I was still making sure nothing was about to sneak up behind me.

He’s definitely echoing how I think of the web. I don’t like paywalls and subscription plans placing obstacles to my reading on the web.

Staging house today for real estate photographer.

We lost power this afternoon which is not what you want to happen during an Atlanta summer when AC is a must. It did come back ahead of Georgia Power’s estimate which was good.

#

I had my annual physical this morning and managed to remember 3 words for a couple of minutes and draw a clock face showing 11:10.

#

Our real Estate agent came down with Covid after a trip to Germany. We may or may not be seeing him in person this coming weekend. A zoom call may be in the offing.

#

Popup storms coming and going around here. Another typical Atlanta summer.

#

I’m happy to see that “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is now available for rental on Amazon Prime and Apple.

#

The house windows have been cleaned earlier today although I suppose we could have chosen a slightly cooler day to have this done. Still, this is summer in Atlanta and we didn’t have a lot of time to get this done.

#

We just finished watching the long final episode of Stranger Things and of course it leaves the viewer waiting for Season 6 in some trepidation.

#

Just got back from Kaiser Permanente where I had my eye pressure checked once again. Eye pressure is good (meaning low) in both eyes which is what I want to see! Pun indended.

#

These photos were taken with my Fujifilm X100. The two photos that were taken inside the house in front of the window turned out to be shot at 12800 iso so I used Deep Prime in DxO Photolab 5 to clean up the resulting noise. It does a good job.

Heather Cox Richardson is always worth a read and particularly so with this piece written for July 4 a few years ago and which she fiddles with and republishes since it continues to be relevant.

#

I know it’s the 4th of July but I’ve spent all day hiding out from the Atlanta heat as well as trying to make my computer room look tidy for when the real estate photographer arrives.

#

This image shows illustrations from Vermont’s Dog Chapel which is definitely worth a visit. It’s in the St Johnsbury region of the state.

#

A friend got stuck on a back road in N Georgia Mountains yesterday. He was using Waze which led him up an old forestry road full of rocks and deep muddy puddles. Both Apple and Google Maps avoided the route suggested by WAZE.

#

A Woman of No Importance is definitely worth a read and I was happy to see that Netflix is showing a movie that follows the wartime exploits of Virginia Hall and two other women. It’s worth a viewing but I definitely recommend the book about Hall which describes an even more exciting life for this woman that was depicted in the movie. Really this is a life that is designed for a TV series on PBS or whatever!

It’s a busy July 4th weekend for us as we get our house ready for real estate photographer.
